Dezza’s Cabin was created in memory of Derek Brundrett (fondly known as Dezza), who tragically lost his life due to the overwhelming stresses and challenges he faced. In honor of Derek, we aim to make sure that no one else feels as alone or unsupported as he did.
As a parent who experienced the devastating effects of a system that failed to provide the right support, I know how crucial it is to have somewhere to turn. Many members of our community have faced similar struggles, and we believe that by sharing our stories and the paths we’ve walked, we can offer guidance and hope to others.
Dezza’s Cabin is committed to being a beacon of support in the heart of our communities. We are more than just words on a screen—we’re real people, offering real help. Our mission is to establish a mobile charity service, providing free information and signposting to essential services. We will come to you, or as close as we can, to ensure that you have access to the support you need.
We aim to host discussions on various topics at scheduled times, helping individuals explore a wide range of issues. No topic is off-limits, and our goal is to foster connection, understanding, and healing.
How you can help: We invite you to support our cause by sharing our page, spreading the word, and engaging with our volunteers. Together, we can build a stronger, more compassionate community where every voice is heard.
